Make Him Commit to You Using the Tools of Respect

Do you want to know how to make him commit to you? Is it really possible to get a man of this modern age to stay in a long-term relationship? How can you get and keep his full attention once and for all? There are several tips and tricks of the trade to make him commit to you; now you just have to carry them out.

The quickest way to accomplish your goal is to use the tools of respect. Respect is as important as breathing to a man. If he doesn't feel respected, he will not be able to live a healthy life. Wherever he does receive respect - that is where he will be spending all of his time and energy.

Respect Tool #1: Listen and affirm his ideas.

If you are not listening and appreciating his ideas, no matter how bad they are, he will be spending his time around people who do. Even if he suggests a ridiculous plan, you can still get around it without disrespecting him. In this case, it is not worth it for you to be right; you will lose your guy in the process of challenging his idea.

For example, if he comes home and announces that he is seriously thinking about quitting his job and applying to law school, you might think that he has lost his mind. His plan would mean no income for several years on top of hefty tuition, and oh yeah, he barely graduated college with a 2.0! Don't bring any of this up, if you want to make him commit to you.

Instead, encourage him in the fact that you are so glad he is thinking about his future and tell him you know that he could do anything he put his mind to. On his own, probably in less than 24 hours, he will come to realize that he neither has the money to pay for law school nor has the intelligence required. But he will remember that you believed in him and didn't doubt him.

Respect Tool #2: Always compliment him in public.

It is every man's worst nightmare to have his girlfriend make fun of him or criticize him in public. Never, ever do it! Whether you are in front of his friends, your friends, his work colleagues, his soccer team, whomever; you definitely need to compliment him and be sure to talk about his strengths. If he has ever said or done anything that you don't agree with, just bring it up and discuss it in private.

When you use these two tools of respect, your man will quickly be the one begging you for a commitment. He will not want to lose the precious, respect-giving girl that you have become. You have not only made a man commit to you, you have learned a lifelong lesson about how to interact with all the men in your life.
